For a roll-on water-based semi-flat black, I'm really partial to General Finishes Lamp Black paint. I've sprayed it too, but it needs a little thinning with water to spray best.

It can be purchased at woodworking retailers like Woodcraft or Rockler.

Even a simple speaker is not as simple as it seems. Judging from your questions, it appears that this will be a first-time project for you. Also from your questions, it sounds like you might be on the wrong track to make something that sounds decent. Question one: My receiver runs at 100 watts at 8 ...

Those are handsome! You did a great job.

The color combination is fresh and lively. Sometimes it gets repetitious looking at black baffles and wood veneer.
