Post by kingfisher224 » Mon Oct 13, 2014 11:40 pm

Been out of touch for a while but back... and I have questions! lol.... Have the ATB-PC software and need info. #1 I am NOT good with my computer, yes I know ironic given I bought software to better stay confused!
#2 I bought this software 2 years ago when I had Win7 operating system and I had trouble getting it to work for me. Now I have new computer and Win8... Do I need upgrades to download?
#3 Does anyone else have a problem with the instructions?

I've used the ATB for quite some time. As for getting it to work on Windows 8, I've never tried. It should be similar to Windows 7... I would think.

Software (ATB drivers)

Getting the ATB to work on Windows 8 should be similar to Windows 7.... <continued> Except, as it turns out, Windows 8 by default requires Driver Signature Verification before it will install a driver and the ATB dongle drivers aren't signed. Therefore Win8 won't install the dongle drivers without help. Help is available to install the ATB Dongle drivers in Windows 8 and 8.1:

These next two clearly (with screenshots) show how to disable the forced driver verification in Windows8 but don't explain the actual dongle install.

This one is specific to windows 8.0.
