A Couple Minor Bugs

Post by JasonP » Tue Apr 14, 2015 4:02 am

I love WinPCD man, great job! I just want to do my part in making it even better. Here is my bug list for my recent use:

* Does not properly load woofer diameter from a saved file.
* Does not properly display INVERT/NORMAL status from a loaded file (gets fixed when you click invert twice).
* Window does not properly fit in the frame, I have to scroll up to the top tabs all the time.

Good job! I'm sure with time this will be perfect! :D

Also, a comment:

I expected the Transfer Function pane under System Graphs to have a relative index on the vertical, centered on 0db. Does that make more sense to anyone else too?

I've not had any issues with the woofer diameter. I just tested, works OK. I also haven't had any other reports of a problem with that. I'd suggest trying again. If you still have a problem, send me your csp file.

The problem with the invert/normal was just recently brought to my attention by someone else as well. I'll have to fix that.

I'm puzzled about the window. Visual Studio at times has altered the window, so I always check that before releasing a build. I check it in Windows 7 and XP. The version out now opens up the way I expect. If I resize the window smaller, it always re-sizes to the correct max size for me.

I'm considering a change for the separate transfer function graph. To display it on the driver SPL graphs required me to have values to match the SPL scale, so I left them that way for the transfer function graph as well.

Just to add a +1 to Jason's window framing. In windows 10, I cannot re-size the window and it doesn't all fit within the confined window size. Maybe allow re-sizing?

I ran into this myself with a recent purchase of a tablet Win 8.1 now with Win 10. The fixed size was to cover a kludge I worked out when creating separate graph windows that had interactive controls. I needed a work-around for a problem with them. I want to eliminate this work-around, but in the mean time I'm looking into a small change to at least eliminate the framing problem.
