I just found Meniscus, and have been reading about the center channel speaker plans/kit. I notice that there are no baffles or bracing members in the design and wonder why the design lacks these. Would the performance be affected by one or more braces (with most of the material removed) placed in the vertical plane. See attached, but please excuse my crude drawing!.
Also, the back of the enclosure shows a centered hole, without dimensions. Is this intended as a port, or the cutout for a terminal block?
Many thanks,
Frank

Frank - Paul doesn't usually show detailed drawings for bracing. You are left to your own judgment.
For the Center, the cabinet is small enough that It might not need much bracing, but what you have drawn is something I'd probably do - as long as the tweeter doesn't hit it.
I have not seen a drawing that shows the back, but it must be for the terminal as this cabinet design is sealed.

Mark, many thanks for your reply. This sounds logical and if I don't change the volume much should not change performance.
Best regards, Frank
