CSS SDX12 Subwoofer

Hi Folks, new member here.
Just ordered a SDX 12" sub-woofer that will be here in a day or two.
Spent about a day on WinISD and Google-images looking for an ideal box size.
Found a few builds, starting from a 18" x 18" x 18" sealed cube to 3.5 ft3 vented; most of the posts were from a few years ago.
I have a table saw and heavy DIY router table and DIY swing-attachment (for the router) which seems to be all one needs for speaker building.
Material on hand: couple of sheets of mdf and a couple sheets 3/4" BB to be used for a final build.
Although, have a similar sized box on the workbench that is close to the 18" cube, no baffle, so ready to get going right away.
Modeled the 2.6 ft3 box (18" cube) in WinIsd - the results it could used sealed or vented in the same box.
The vented box plan would need 2 - 2" vents about 12" - 13" long for a tuning of 22hz.
Looking for any advice really, please feel to help steer me in the right direction.

You will want more than 2x 2" ports with most 12" subwoofers. I recommend a single 4" port minimum, or a pair of 3" ports, which is twice the end-area you have modeled currently. It is okay to use a bend or elbow in the port inside the box.
You'll find that the larger diameter (used to prevent port turbulence/noise) makes them longer to get the same tuning. The larger the box, the shorter the ports get, but sometimes the smaller box is better, and then the Passive Radiator route is beneficial to get the lower tuning while keeping the box smaller.

Oh thanks Wolf, it's been years since the last time I had a 12" woofer. 
I'll get to a vented box soon -- because I have a 1.47 ft3 sealed box on hand for a quick setup.
Checking displacement: .2 and end up with a 1.27 cubic foot box?

Ok nice woofer, great tone.  It performed like I though it would in a sealed box: sacrificed a little low-low end for powerful mid bass.
Maybe it will dig deeper once it is broken in a bit
The box has been around a while (the port is sealed on the inside). Some bracing, but the mdf is 1" thick.

Going to look for vented box plans next.

Great 12" woofer Meniscus!  Only disappointment,  should have ordered 2 and now see they are out of stock.
Please keep me in mind if there's another production run.
