I wanted to let you know, due to the interest in this design that I have received I have made arrangements for Meniscus to offer it as a kit. It uses the Audio Technology 18H52-17-06-SD midwoofer and the Scanspeak D9900 Revelator tweeter. You're on your own with the faceted rosewood cabinet though ..... You can also make in in a more conventional cabinet with no problems.
Contact Mark if you are interested.
Jeff

They look great, Jeff. Plus great woofer and tweeter. Wish I could hear them, all in all it sounds as if it would be a real winner.

Both the Spirit Wind and your new Lightning look very interesting. Do either or both of the designs lend themselves to use with one of your new woofer modules with the passive crossover? Also, is one or both capable of being used close to the rear or side walls?

Next week I am working on a special woofer module for my SpiritWinds. However, the one using the SB29 for the Kairos will work perfectly for it, because the Kairos and the SpiritWinds are very close in sensitivity and bass extension.
Both speakers you mentioned need at least a couple feet from the walls or they may begin to sound overly heavy in the upper bass / lower midrange area.

If you compare Kairos and the SpiritWinds which of them sounds better?
Can you say that SpiritWinds is a higher in class?

I have kept my SpiritWinds as my reference speaker. I think both drivers in the SW are a little bit better and the overall presentation of the SpiritWind may be the best I have heard. The Kairos are top notch, but I give the edge to the SpiritWinds.

Jeff, I know you have planned a 3way with an AE woofer. I've just recently ordered a pair of SpiritWinds and am wondering if you'd be willing to help a fella go this route

I guess what I need, if you're so willing, is crossover, cabinet and woofer information. Also, how do you feel about pairing the AE woofer with a passive radiator?

I love the SS 9900 tweeter and I really want SpiritWinds monitors! Maybe next year, when I'm imitating, I'll get them.
The SpiritWinds is my dream

Also, do you know where the efficiency and impedance landed on these guys?
