Being a casual woodworker and a person that enjoys good music (not rap), I completed a set of Zaph ZA5.2s. I got a lot of satisfaction from building them and they sound good for the price, but I really want to build a permanent set of speakers. My challenge is my room has a 13' wide wall unit and whether monitors of floorstanders would need to be placed outside of the wall unit and closer to the rear wall (12" +/-). The listening room is 20' wide by 15' deep with an adjoining room the same size. The speakers (leaning towards thin floorstanders) would need to be focused inwards towards the sitting area.
I have a HSU Research ULS15 Sub and all will be driven by a Marantz SR5008 receiver. I was drawn to the Finalists or some of Dennis Murphy's speaker designs but I am trying to get some feedback on a which direction I should be focusing my search. Any help would be greatly appreciated.

Well the tweeter for the Finalists is no longer available so that design may be out of the question. The Statements/Mini/Monitors is still an option as well as their newer design the Anthologies. Jeff Bagby’s Kairos and Testarossa (not on the site but available) might be worth looking into.
