Jeff Bagby Mandolin - phase response

Post by bobannesic » Wed Sep 20, 2017 1:44 am

Hi there,

I have one question about Mandolin speaker project.

As we can see from Jeff write-up ( https://meniscusaudio.com/wp-content/up ... ite-up.pdf ) frequency response is realy nice, flat, but nowhere I didnt find the driver's phase response. Whether that response can be found, whether Jeff showed it somewhere? If someone measured the Mandoline, can show reverse null response?

Thanks.

Boban

I don't have a pic handy, that speaker was done quite some time ago. But the crossover in the Mandolin is an acoustic LR4 type with good phase tracking. Both drivers are in phase with each other at the crossover, so yes there would be a reverse null. (Having a reverse null is not always important, but there is one in this case).
