DIY Speaker Project PAD

Let me first say that winpcd is outstanding and you deserve a huge thank you from the community. My question has to do with series connection of mids or woofers- I don't see a way to change the connection. Maybe I'm just blind and someone can point me to it. Thanks

I'm not quite sure of your question. The two parts implemented are for standard parallel connections. If you use two woofers or two mids, they are connected in parallel, not series.

thanks for the reply, Is there any plan in the future to make a series connection possible-such as an mtm with two 4 ohm woofers in series?

I had not thought to add this. You can do this now by taking measurements of the drivers when combined in series and entering that as a single driver. This does make the spatial option unusable.

I'll look into it. It can be done, I'm not sure how much it will take to do that, but a quick look into the code makes me think it may not be too difficult. I can't say when I might get to this. If it looks like a short bit of time, I may do it soon. I can't say more than that for now.

In case you're subscribed to this thread for email notification, there are some new changes (v1.3) that include being able to switch midrange or woofer connections series/parallel. Just to be sure, this is only the connection of a driver pair, it has nothing to do with series crossovers.
