I just learned that since the 70's symphony orchestras audition members/ players by blind auditions.

Pretty good overall. One common but obvious error: he doesn't distinguish between preference and difference.
One cannot say anything about sonic preference without first establishing audible difference. That makes his wire tests more likely than not a simple coincidence.
