Re: DIY Speaker Gallery - Show off your work
First effort at open baffle, with 12" wave guided fane tweeter, and selenium midrange, Trace Elliot 15" woofer.
Re: DIY Speaker Gallery - Show off your work
Cherrywood and maple mini open baffle, Morel helper tweeter with a 2" EJ Jordan .
Re: DIY Speaker Gallery - Show off your work
A little bass help for a little Jordan , configure for 4 ohm mono, or 8 ohm l/r single cabinet bass bin, with old Peerless Nomex HDS.
Corner loaded, very good bass, better pitch than a sub, but really only reaches 40 hz.

Wanted a sound bar, didn't want to spend much for good sound, so...
Found a reasonably priced Tannoy D series centre channel, re tasked my old Series 600 pair in orange shellac birch sealed cabinets.

Anthology – A new high performance budget friendly speaker d
The design goal for the Anthology’s was to create a full range, dynamic speaker in a smaller cabinet that offered both excellent music and home theater reproduction. The Anthology’s accurately reproduce your best musical recordings with a huge accurate soundstage due to the open back mid TL design and also fill the room with extremely dynamic movie reproduction when watching your favorite new action flick. They also pair perfectly with the center channel Curt and I designed for the Finalist’s for the front three speakers of a home theater system.
We did a lot of driver research and finally decided on SB Acoustics SB15 coated paper mids for their excellent low distortion sound quality and affordable price. We wanted a tweeter that would provide excellent sound quality with extremely broad dispersion, low distortion and an affordable price. The Seas 22TFF matched all of those qualities. Bass drivers are again the tried and true Dayton RS225’s. They provide an F/3 in the low 30’s in a WAF friendly cabinet size of 48”T x 11 ½”W x 15 ½”D.

Statement II build. Just finished yesterday. now to loosen them up and listen. I'm impressed already and it's only going to get better. Would I build these again? Absolutely. I learned a lot from the build and changed the cosmetics along the way... Hope yall like the look....

Finalist centre
All the way from down under a Finalist centre.
Great upgrade from the Paradigm Centre 3.
Thanks Meniscus for the great service and Jim and Curt for the design.
I used 25mm MDF for the box and a 32mm solid wood baffle with a shellac finish. Very happy.
