Impossible to download ?

Hi everyone !

I have built a few loudspeaker boxes in the past and I have always been using simple crossover from parts-express. However, I think it is time I start making my own crossovers. WinPCD seems to be the perfect software for that Unfortunately, I can't complete the installation : when I lunch setup.exe the wizard connects to internet and return the following error :

Impossible to download the application. Files are missing.

As I am speaking french this is a translation, but you get the idea. From the details of the problem it seems that the missing file should be there :

I am trying to install version 1.500. If any of you have ever encountered this problem could you please share your solution if you have solved it ?

Given your second thread start above, I assume that this problem is solved? I've heard of others having a similar issue. I can't replicate it myself. Running the application directly (for others who may experience this problem), i.e. double click the application exe file should work. I think that the "install" is only required to download any .NET framework files if required, in this case, .NET 4.0.

+ The remote server returned an error: (404) Not Found.

Sorry to be so late replying. There have been a few instances of this and I don't know the reason. It's some odd thing related to the Click-Once installation. Installing a later version has at times worked (1.501 is now available). What you can also try and should work, if you already have a good version of .NET installed, is to extract the zip file to a folder of your choice (e.g. C:\WinPCD) and run the application directly. Make a shortcut to it on your desktop. It will be down in the directory structure in the folder with the version number.
