I was on call Dec. 14 but have managed to clear it, so I am free to attend. I don't know yet if I will come in the night before and need a hotel room or can drive it in the morning. Do you know the start time? I don't recall if that was on the itinerary.

Steve
I plan to begin at 8:30 AM on Saturday morning. If you need a room please contact the hotel directly and say you are with the "Bagby Conference" on the 14th.

Hello,

I wanted to let everyone know that unless someone drops out, I am closing the preregistration for the Seminar on December 14th, and will not take any more attendees due to seating limitations.

If you still want to attend and have not sent me an email, please do and I will place you on the waiting list and we will see how things evolve over the next week or so.

Thank you.

Jeff - Sorry for the late notice, but I won't be able to make the seminar - we were told at work that we're required to work 7 days a week to meet a "critical revenue milestone" that is scheduled for December 18th. Again, sorry for the late notice. I'll also post over at Tech Talk to alert them about an opening.

Thanks,
Ed Perkins

Sorry you can't make it, Ed. I hope we can get together another time. Thanks for the note.

Jeff just want to say thank you for the seminar. I learned so much! You did an excellent job of explaining your process and helping simple guys like me better understand. I feel much more confident that I can now measure and design with good to excellent results.
So thank you again for doing this and I am very appreciative of you for doing it as I am sure all of us are.

Jeff

Just wanted to let you know how much I appreciated what you did this weekend. It was a great experience for me, and it was really good to get to listen to the results with you. I would be proud if I could make a speaker sound as good as that one did at the end! Also, just the effort you must have gone to, even trying to talk for 8 hours, that is way above and beyond the call of duty. I told you there, I had been waiting for 40 years for someone to do this, and you did it. I might actually have been waiting a little longer than that come to think of it!
Best wishes to you for the Holidays, and thanks again for all of your thoughtfulness and consideration.

Steve

Jeff,

Thanks a bundle for running this design seminar. It was well worth the drive, despite the crappy weather. I would urge anyone wanting to see first-hand how cool and easy Jeff’s design suite is to definitely hit up one of these seminars. It’s pretty amazing how much you can learn at a one day conference. Jeesh, Jeff, the whole day went by fairly quickly and everything ran very smoothly – pretty darned good especially since this was your first one. You’re a funny guy too!! All-in-all you did a fantastic job….thanks for that and for everything you do for the community.

I’ll post a few pics in a bit.

A few pics - pretty explanatory. The drivers used in the test speaker are really nice….really. They will be offered in kit form from Meniscus sometime soon. The final measured response of the system is one of the last pics. For a sealed enclosure, this speaker had some solid bass response. The mids and highs were excellent. I’ll wait patiently for somebody to model this in an MLTL. Hint hint.

Thank you Steve and Bryan, for the nice comments. It was great time, and it all went according to my planned schedule - what are the odds of that?! I was shooting to be finished by 4:30 and when I said, "OK guys, that's a wrap", it was 4:20 PM.

It sill wore me out though, and I had a sore throat and about lost my voice Saturday night. Sunday morning it was still bothering me, but by the afternoon I felt fine. What I did takes a lot out of you though. I will have to take that into consideration if I do this again.

It appears that the only real screw-up I made, was in being afraid to have the first one video recorded. I think the video would have turned out great, but I really didn't know how I was going to do and how well it was going to flow. I guess I shouldn't have doubted myself.

Anywho, I really appreciate everyone who braved the nasty weather to come. Having the first major winter storm of the season hit on the same day was bad timing on my part. I will have to plan better next time ;-)

Tomorrow I will be sending out an email to the attendees with a little something special in it. This should help you take things to the next level.

Here are a couple video clips mainly of the test speaker. Sorry for shaky hands in the first clip but it was the audio I was trying to capture anyway. The second video has a couple minutes worth of test speaker tunes sans shaky hands.

Make sure you click HD to get better resolution.
