Vas Measurements

Jeff Bagby recently started a different forum thread on an alternative way to measure Vas - the specified Mmd method. Rather than weigh small objects or use nickles and keep them attached to the cone, it is much easier to input the manufacturers Mmd measurement. Vance Dickason as been using that method for some time.
Unfortunately, many manufacturers do not list Mmd, but Mms instead - the moving mass plus the air load on the cone. The good news, there is a nice little formula to calculate the air load. Once you have the air load, simply subtract it from Mms and you have Mmd.
